This privacy statement explains how the owner (“I”, “me”) of the website (www.dennisproksch.de) collects and uses informatiom about you. It applies to everything under the domain www.dennisproksch.de. As well, it covers how I treat your data when you write an e-mail to me.

When you visit this Website
Your data matters to me. That is why I only store the minumin amount of information about your visit to your website. In detail, for seven days, I store this:
- your IP address
- date and time of your visit
- the URL that has been visited
- the HTTP protocol and status
- amount of bytes that have been transferred
- referrer URL
- your browser and operating system.
After seven days, I replace your IP by some random, anonymous token and aggregate the other data into a statistic.
I need this data and the statistics for two purposes: (1) Without it, the webserver is not able to defend itself against malicious attacks. Indeed, this reflects the bare minimum to protect me from the most common attacks and other forms of abuse. (2) Without this data, I will not be able to enhance this blog. I want to provide you with information that you want to read. Therefore, I must keep track of my visitors and know which pages are the most attractive – so that I can write more of them.
When you write me an e-mail
When you write me an e-mail, I will store your name and e-mail address to keep in touch with you and help you on your request. I will delete your name and e-mail address whenever you send me an e-mail with a short notice. In rare cases, I may be forced to store an e-mail address despite such a notice to protect me from Spam.
